TechOne is the first year of your Bachelor's degree at Simon Fraser University. We believe that a great first year is important to your university experience so we provide a welcoming community with  many ways to get involved inside and outside of the classroom. 

As the problem solvers of tomorrow, you will help contribute to and shape the world we live in. TechOne is for students who are curious about design and technology and the roles they play in the everyday lives of people. The Program emphasizes and cultivates critical, independent thought, through an approach "that combines the precision and rigor of business and engineering, the understanding of social interactions, and the aesthetics of the arts." (Norman, 2007). We focus on facilitating the development of learning skills that are crucial for future academic success.

As part of the dynamic TechOne learning community you will benefit from small classes, supportive study groups, the opportunity to develop real world skills through participation on interdisciplinary project teams, and a commitment to the success of every student.
